This week I have copied the devotional reading from Brooklyn Tabernacle's Website for today and written a prayer that I have on my heart for Cornerstone Church.

“But the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on both sides.” (Exodus 14:29 GNT)

When the Israelites reached the Red Sea, they found themselves in an impossible situation. Hemmed in by danger, with the enemy behind them and raging water in front, they were still afraid when the Lord drove the sea back into a wall of water on either side. By the mercy and power of God, however, the wall of danger surrounding the Israelites became a wall of protection against the Egyptians, and the Israelites were saved.

It is the same with us. If we will but trust the Lord, he will turn the walls of danger in our lives into walls of protection. Let’s believe him for a miracle in our lives today!

Father, You are a way maker. We find ourselves in impossible situations sometimes and unless you intervene we will be swallowed up by the danger around us. Our church is facing challenges that look impossible and there are people who are in situations right now that look impossible. I cry out to You on the behalf of each person who reads this and resonates with it. I ask you to show Your power in their situation and perform a miracle of deliverance. I ask for peace in our hearts as we wait on Your timing. I ask for faith to replace our fears and the inner calm assurance that You love us and are moving on our behalf.   - Amen
