I want to interrupt the series on the Reformation that I've been doing to take a few lines and say "thank you" to each of you who receive this e-mail.
Most of you attend Cornerstone regularly, others visit from time to time, and still others simply support us with your prayers and finances. Each of you have played an important role in the past year as we've gotten Cornerstone off the ground and flying. As we enter the Thanksgiving weekend, I'm reminded of how special each of you is and how grateful I am to each of you.
There have already been so many hours volunteered, so many jobs accomplished, & and so many prayers offered. I think of those who come early Sunday after Sunday and work hard to make sure that everything is set up and then stay late to make sure everything is put away. We couldn't do it without you! So many of you have given a word of encouragement and have asked God to bless us. You will never know how much you have impacted our lives.
I am the most grateful to my Heavenly Father who first put this burden on our hearts and then began to show us next steps. His Spirit has strengthened us when we are weary and has lead us when we needed guidance. When we wept, He comforted us. When we celebrated, He gave us joy. It's an incredible honor to carry the message of Jesus Christ and I'm still amazed that He trusts us to share His Gospel. He is doing a work of healing in many of our lives. He is also preparing us for greater impact in our community. It is because of Him that I am excited about the future. He has always been faithful and He will continue to be faithful.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving turkey and don't forget to thank God for His goodness to all of us in the past year!
